If you have spent ten minutes in a rep community you have seen all three words used as if they were the same thing. They are not, and the confusion costs people money — usually at the point where something goes wrong and they discover they have no warehouse, no QC photos and no one to ask for an exchange.
What a rep spreadsheet is
A rep spreadsheet is a curated list of products with prices, batch names and links. The name comes from the format: the original community lists really were spreadsheets, and the term stuck even after most of them moved to websites.
The word that matters is curated. There are thousands of sellers on Weidian, Taobao and 1688 offering the same product photo at wildly different quality. A rep spreadsheet does the filtering for you and keeps the batch name attached to each item, so you know which factory version you are looking at.
What a good one has: a price on every item, the batch named, the category organised, and links that still work next month. What most of them have: none of that. The lists floating around Reddit and Telegram are usually link dumps with no prices and no batch information.
What an agent spreadsheet is
An agent spreadsheet is the same thing described from the other end. Where “rep spreadsheet” describes what you are buying, “agent spreadsheet” describes how you buy it: every link opens inside a shopping agent — OOPBUY, Kakobuy, HipoBuy, LitBuy, CNFans, MuLeBuy, Sugargoo, Superbuy and the rest.
The distinction sounds pedantic until you realise it changes the product. A link dump that goes straight to a Weidian seller gives you no warehouse, no QC photos, no consolidation and nobody to complain to. The same find wrapped in an agent link gives you all four.
So when someone says “find me an agent spreadsheet for Sugargoo”, they mean a curated list where every link is already routed through Sugargoo. That is exactly what our rep spreadsheet hub and the fourteen per-agent pages do: the same catalogue, opened inside whichever agent you pick.
What Yupoo is (and is not)
Yupoo is a photo hosting platform. Sellers use it to publish albums of product photos because the main Chinese marketplaces restrict certain imagery. A Yupoo album is a gallery, not a shop: there is no price, no cart, no checkout and no order tracking.
This is where most beginners lose money. You find a Yupoo album, you like a jacket, and there is no way to buy it from the album itself. You have to take a contact — usually WeChat or WhatsApp — message the seller directly, and pay them outside any platform.
Buying direct like that means: no warehouse photos before shipping, no consolidation with your other items, no purchase protection, and if the jacket arrives in the wrong size you have a chat message and nothing else. It is the single most common way people get burned in this hobby.
The comparison, side by side
| Rep spreadsheet | Agent spreadsheet | Yupoo album | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it is | A curated list with prices and batches | The same list, opened inside an agent | A seller photo album |
| Prices shown | Yes | Yes | No — you have to ask |
| Batch named | Usually | Usually | Rarely |
| QC photos before shipping | Via the agent | Yes | No |
| Consolidation | Yes | Yes | No |
| Purchase protection | Through the agent | Through the agent | None |
| Exchange if wrong | Free swap in warehouse | Free swap in warehouse | Depends on the seller |
| Buying it | Open the find through an agent | Click and order | Message the seller off-platform |
Which one should you actually buy through?
Always through an agent. There is exactly one situation where direct contact makes sense: the item is not listed anywhere else and you have bought from that seller before. In every other case the agent route costs a few percent more and removes almost all of the risk.
The maths are simple. A QC photo set catches the wrong size, the wrong colour and the visible glue stain before the parcel leaves China. A free warehouse exchange fixes it. Paying a service fee for that is cheaper than one bad parcel, and you will have a bad parcel eventually if you buy direct.
Below about 200 CNY of items the service fee can eat the saving — which is exactly when you should be consolidating with other finds rather than shipping anything on its own. Our best finds under $30 list is built around that idea.
How to spot a spreadsheet that will waste your time
- No prices. If every row just has a link, the owner is selling clicks, not finds.
- No batch names. Without the batch you cannot compare two listings of the same shoe, which is the entire point.
- No QC step. If the flow is “click, pay, wait”, there is no warehouse and therefore no recourse.
- Dead links. Open five at random. If two are broken, the list is abandoned.
- Only one agent. Legitimate lists let you choose, because the agent with the best line for your parcel weight is not the same agent for everyone.
Where our catalogue fits
Everything on this site is one catalogue that opens inside fourteen agents. Start at the rep spreadsheet hub to compare agents on fee, shipping lines and storage, then browse by category: shoes, hoodies, t-shirts, jackets, jeans, pants, electronics or accessories.
Frequently asked questions
Is an agent spreadsheet the same as a rep spreadsheet?
Yes. They describe the same thing from two angles. Rep spreadsheet describes what you are buying; agent spreadsheet describes how you buy it — every link opens inside a shopping agent.
Can I buy directly from a Yupoo album?
No. Yupoo is a photo hosting platform, not a shop. There is no price, cart or checkout, so buying from an album means messaging the seller off-platform, which removes QC photos, consolidation and any purchase protection.
Why not just buy from the seller directly?
Because you lose the warehouse step. An agent photographs your item before it ships, lets you exchange it free while it is still in the warehouse, and consolidates several finds into one parcel. Direct purchases have none of that.
What is the most important thing to check in a rep spreadsheet?
Whether the batch is named next to each item. Two listings of the same shoe can be 40% apart in price and completely different in quality, and the batch name is the only thing that tells you which one you are looking at.
Do all agents charge the same?
The item price is the same everywhere. What differs is the service fee, the shipping lines available for your country, and how long storage stays free.
Which agent should I use?
It depends on your parcel. Compare EU-friendly lines, the service fee and the storage window on the rep spreadsheet hub — OOPBUY gives our readers 10% off, Sugargoo and Superbuy have the widest line selection, CSSBUY and Litbuy are price-competitive.
Are Yupoo albums useful at all?
Yes, as a photo reference. They are good for seeing what a batch actually looks like in more angles than a listing shows. Just do not try to order from one.
